The NCAA tournament is still a few weeks away, but March Madness is in full swing with teams looking to make a last-minute boost to their resumes before Championship Week . Here are a few of today’s key games to help get you caught up come tourney time:
Missouri State vs. #2 Wichita State, 2pm (ESPN)
With a one seed all but wrapped up, you need to get acquainted with 30-0 Wichita State before the tournament starts.
#7 Louisville vs. #21 Memphis, 2pm (CBS)
Both are locks to make the tournament, but Memphis will look to sweep the season series with Louisville.
#4 Syracuse vs. #12 Virginia, 4pm (ESPN)
The second Top 25 matchup of the day will be a huge one. UVA will wrap up the ACC regular season title with a win against the Orange today.
#24 Texas vs. Oklahoma, 4pm (ESPN3)
Texas lost a close one at home to Oklahoma on January 4. Today, they’ll look to exact revenge and improve their tournament standing.
#9 Creighton vs. Xavier, 5pm (Fox Sports 1)
Joe Lunardi has both in the tournament at the moment, but a win for Xavier would do wonders for their resumé.
#9 Saint Louis vs. VCU, 6pm (ESPN2)
Call it a trap game? The Billikens saw their 19-game win streak snapped at home against 12-15 Duquesne on Thursday night. Either way, we’re still getting a great contest between two of the A-10’s best.
#15 Iowa State vs. Kansas State, 7pm (ESPN U)
Iowa State is an impressive 7-2 against ranked opponents this season, but a win for the Wildcats would likely assure them an at-large bid.
Gonzaga vs. Saint Mary’s, 10pm (ESPN2)
The Gaels of St. Mary’s are 21-9, but find themselves out of contention with few good wins and a host of bad losses (South Carolina, George Mason, etc.) A win against the Bulldogs would certainly give them a confidence boost going into next week’s conference tournament.
