Just an idea of what to expect over the next few months:
Football and MMA will likely get the most coverage on here. They’re the two sports I feel I can write about pretty well.
Soccer will get plenty of love too, though. I’ll focus more on the Champions League and World Cup qualifying over league play. Expect some EPL and La Liga. Little to no MLS.
The Sporting Logistics and Sociology of Sport pages will undergo a title change eventually, but the content will be the same.
Sporting Logistics will be about various ideas to make sports better. So an article on why a 16-team playoff can work and is ideal postseason play would go here.
Sociology is defined as “the study of the development, structure, and functioning of human society.” Replace “human” with “sport” and you have the premise of the Sociology of Sport. Expect a lot of writings about ESPN’s positive (and negative) impact on sports.
I love over-analyzing, so those two pages should be fun.
I decided to exclude a basketball page, but mostly because college and pro aren’t going on right now. By the time October comes around, they’ll have a page. More focus on college over pro. I enjoy it more.
From time to time, I’ll write about tennis, golf, hockey, baseball, but not nearly enough to warrant their own page or to give off the impression that I’m a hardcore fan of them.
